As the Audience Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in engaging and expanding the audience for our science and technology B2B platforms. This dynamic position focuses on marketing within the scientific communications sector. You will actively establish connections with our clients audience, gaining insights into their needs, providing valuable feedback to our content and sales teams, and formulating strategies to enhance our clients audience's reach.
A significant aspect of this role involves internal and external communication of audience insights, with a strong emphasis on interpreting data and its impact on our operational objectives. This role will require a blend of office-based and collaborative work.
Responsibilities:
Cultivate a cohesive audience-oriented voice, ensuring brand consistency in tone and messaging across all marketing channels and teams.
Supervise all audience-facing communications, encompassing email newsletters, Social Media, and registration processes.
Devise and execute strategies for audience growth marketing, using channels such as organic and paid Social Media, PPC, SEO, keyword strategy, partnerships with organizations, influencer network development, PR, press awareness, creation of shareable content, and strategic audience data building.
Lead audience engagement directly through Social Media and other outreach channels, enhancing our knowledge of our audience and providing feedback to the content team.
Drive the success of our lead generation products through landing pages and the promotion of client projects. Collaborate with clients to understand their audience needs and expectations.
Collaborate with the Marketing & Data Specialist to effectively communicate audience insights internally and externally.
Job Brief:
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take the lead in audience interaction and growth.
Proficiency in using Social Media in a professional context is essential.
Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing, are crucial for crafting engaging content that encourages interaction.
Continually explore new ways for audiences to engage with our platform and with each other.
Possess a confident presentation style and inspire trust among colleagues.
Success Criteria:
Grow and manage our clients audience, ensuring it is appropriate and aligned with our clients objectives, as evaluated by monthly website visits, page views, and registration numbers.
Increase audience engagement levels, measured by social activity, email opens/clicks, and time spent on our platform.
Ensure that lead generation products meet or exceed expected benchmarks.
Receive positive feedback from clients and internal stakeholders regarding service management and effectiveness in delivering the above-mentioned goals.
Effectively communicate insights both internally and externally, leading to the development of new products and services, client renewals, and upsells.
Necessary Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in a similar role.
Thorough knowledge of current marketing strategies, tools, and channels, including email and Social Media marketing.
Familiarity with databases and information system technologies.
Proficiency in email platforms.
Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Access, and Word.
Possess a creative, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Efficient and can-do mindset.
Familiarity with Google statistical packages.
A background in scientific communications is highly desirable.
