Business Development Manager

Reporting to the Commercial Director UK & Ireland, this Industrial BDM role is focused on developing battery business throughout the UK via existing customer database and new Business Development. You will present new products and enhance existing trading relationships, operate within the CRM environment, and provide regular updates to colleagues and management.

During your first few weeks in this BD sales management role, you can expect to begin work on some of the following:

• Analyse customer purchase trends, identify gaps in offers, and highlight opportunities for sales growth
• Support customers with promotional activities and organise marketing support
• Identify potential new customers and decision-makers within the organisation and build relationships
• Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences and provide feedback on market trends
• Manage customer pricing and benchmark against competitors

We are seeking an Industrial BDM with previous experience as a Key Account Manager or Business Development Manager and at least 5 years of relevant battery industry experience with different battery technologies and chemistries, including Lithium. Additional qualifications include:

• Experience within the renewable energy sector covering PV and inverter-based systems
• Proven record of achieving revenue targets
• Experience selling to Distributors / B2B customers
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to build customer relationships
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
