Job Description
- Managing and overseeing all auditing activities within the firm.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Preparing accurate audit reports for management and stakeholders.
- Collaborating with other departments to streamline audit processes.
- Identifying risks and opportunities for improvement in the audit process.
- Developing auditing strategies that address the company's objectives and goals.
- Maintaining relationships with clients to ensure a smooth audit process.
- Staying updated on changes in financial regulations and standards. (UKGAAP & IFRS in particular)
The Successful Applicant
A successful Audit Manager should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g. ACA/ ACCA, or equivalent) is essential for this role
- Proven experience in auditing & accounting within a UK professional services firm.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding and keep up to date with financial regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software. (xero/CCH/caseware/sage)
