Verus Recruitment is thrilled to announce our collaboration with a prestigious regional firm of Chartered Accountants as they seek to appoint an Audit and Accounts Senior for their Wakefield branch. With a longstanding reputation and formidable presence, this esteemed practice is experiencing continuous expansion in their Wakefield office, prompting the need for a valuable addition to their team.
Joining the respected Audit and Accounts team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an extensive range of Audit and accounting services to clients. Your responsibilities will encompass the management and execution of audits and Accounts tasks, both on-site and within our offices. Working with a diverse clientele, you will have the opportunity to foster meaningful client relationships and actively contribute to a wide spectrum of projects, collaborating closely with your peers.
Job Responsibilities 

• Compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead senior audit work from planning to completion with minimal supervision, covering all aspects of fieldwork, adhering to deadlines and budgets, and ensuring
• Prepare accounts and tax computations for companies, sole traders, and partnerships for review and approval by managers or directors.
• Coach, mentor, and supervise junior team members.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

About you 

• Oversee and conduct audits and Accounts work, both in the office and at client premises
• Seeking ACA, ACCA, or professionals with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Ideal opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to expand or enhance their experience in a multifaceted role with a clear pathway for development.
• Provide a wide range of Audit and accounting services to clients.
• Work with a diverse client base, offering opportunities to develop client relationships and manage a variety of projects with the wider team.
