The role will be known as CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) but for the purpose of advertising we’ve used Senior Marketing Manager as the title; the role in the tech industry with a focus on AI integration and software development, so an understanding or experience in these areas is preferred.
Hands on Senior Marketing Manager role in Bristol, you’ll need to be office based least 3 days a week but the rest can be remote (it’s a 5 day a week role, not available as part-time).
Working closely with the leadership team, the role is approximately 80% hands on implantation, 20% strategic. It’s a stand-alone marketing role with the use of freelance support as required.Working across several key sectors, including Marine, Engineering, Space/Aerospace, and Energy.
What you’ll need:
- You’ll have at least 5 years marketing experience, some of those at a senior level, and be able to demonstrate broad experience of how to market a b2b service.
- The ideal candidate should have a b2b marketing experience, ideally from a SaaS/tech/IT/AI or similar technical complex subject matter.
- Coupled with a robust understanding of the tech industry, focus is on AI integration, software development, and managing large-scale digital transformation projects.
- Direct hands-on experience with technology is not mandatory, but the ability to comprehend intricate tech-driven projects is crucial for effective marketing and communication. The ability to navigate the nuances of both agency life and the tech landscape, ensuring the marketing resonates clearly and effectively with the varied clients and prospects is crucial.
- Hands-on, willing to engage deeply with all marketing activities including copy writing and crafting engaging case studies and social media posts.

Some typical duties:
Planning and implementing stand out marketing campaigns to promote products or services
Supporting and nurture lead generation working closely with the Sales Director.
Analysing data to identify opportunities for growth in existing markets or development of new markets.
Establishing long term strategic plans to achieve company goals, such as increasing brand awareness and increasing market share.
Managing events and conferences and researching the most relevant speaking opportunities for the directors.
Coordinating and managing all aspects of marketing plan across events, content, social and communications. Naturally this will include areas like PR, case studies, thought-leadership material, awards and digital communication.
