Job Title: Senior Physiotherapist

Grade:Band 6

Trust: Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust

Location: Radcliffe primary care centre, church street, M26 2SP

Ward/Dept: Bury falls and fracture liaison team

Hours: Weekdays 8am to 4pm Rota

Pay rate: £19.10-£30.56 (uplifts for weekends and Bank Holidays)

End Date: 31.05.2024

Northern Carer Alliance NHS Foundation Trust are currently seeking organised and motivated candidates to fulfil physiotherapy opportunities within the Falls and Fracture Liaison Team under a long-term placement contract.

The Post holder will ideally have previous NHS experience, previous experience across a broad rang of junior rotations, assessment and treatment knowledge is essential. They must be able to demonstrate initiative and prioritise a complex workload whilst working both as a autonomous and practitioner and as part of a team.

High levels of both written and oral communication are essential to this post with the ability to deliver or discuss difficult diagnosis and prognosis with tact, empathy, managing distressed or aggressive patients or carers/Relatives. The post holder must be able to communicate accurate and sensitive information to patients, carers and relatives as well as within their own team and colleagues.

Main Duties of the Job:

  • Perform specialist assessment and treatment of patients and determine a clinical diagnosis, develop, implement, evaluate, and modify individualised treatment programmes.
  • Responsible for your own clinical caseload in the defined clinical area of Falls and Fracture Prevention.
  • Use a range of manual physiotherapy skills when implementing a programme of care, demonstrating highly developed dexterity, co-ordination and palpatory sensory skills for assessment and manual treatment of patients

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • HCPC registration
  • BSc/equivalent physiotherapy qualification
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Practices in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal codes of the Health & Care Professions Council
  • (HCPC), and Trust and NHS protocols and guidelines
