This is an extremely exciting time to be part of the IT team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust as we introduce initiatives that underpin the Trusts vision, purpose and values linked to our Digital Health Programme of work across multiple hospital sites.
We are looking to an experienced Business Analyst to join the UHBFT IT Services Business Analysis and Change team. UHBFT is involved in multiple innovative and complex initiatives, so this post provides a challenging and exciting opportunity for the right person.
We have an established pedigree of delivering innovation and change through successful clinical systems, application, and integration developments. We are looking for an individual who can take a lead managerial role in environments where personal development and personal performance go hand in hand with a strong customer service culture.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
The Senior Business Analyst role expects that the successful candidate will:
- Use advanced healthcare operational process knowledge and skills to continually scope develop, implement, and maintain the Trust's clinical systems as part of the Trust's wider IT solutions infrastructure.
- Working across the Trust with staff at all levels (clinical and non-clinical) and other stakeholders e.g. patients and carers, internal clinical systems developers, 3rd party suppliers, IT Support Teams; you'll be expected to use your developed communication skills to capture insights/user stories and patient workflows and turn them into clinical systems that support safe and effective patient care.
- Take a leading role as product champion, for research, business analysis, planning, implementation, configuration, documentation, and training delivery of collaborative solutions within specified time scales and budgetary constraints.
- Show flexibility to work across all UHBFT sites as required.
- Provide support to junior business analysts

Educated to Degree level or equivalent
