The role
As a Bid Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll join our Business Development team to as a key practitioner to support the generation of tenders, bids and proposals for both new and existing customers
Day to day, you'll provide a range of services including planning, engineering, ILS, design services and digital asset management to UK MoD.
- Manage the development and delivery of bids, proposals and tenders, working in partnership with other internal resources, such that bids and bid documentation accurately reflects the business proposition and that it is delivery to time and specification
- Review and interpret customer requirements and ensure that bids and tenders meet these requirements at optimum benefit to the business
- Support the growth of business through our existing QDC framework contracts
- Ensure that bids and tenders are fully costed to accurately reflect operational and technical bid content and that meet business income and margin targets
- Support the wider team in bidding best practice, ensure effective management and preparation of all reviews so that all stakeholders are briefed appropriately and capture and share best practice.
- Support the Senior Bid Manager and Business Development teams to manage effective pipeline and sales information throughout the bidding process
This role is full time, 36 hours based on site in Bristol with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Essential experience of the Bid Manager:
- Strong and demonstrable understanding of bid processes
- Understanding of the procurement process and regulations
- Strong time management
- Previous experience in a bid management, business development or proposals coordination role
Qualifications for the Bid Manager:
- Degree level or equivalent in either an Engineering, Software Engineering, Business or English Literature/Language related discipline
- APMP (project and/or proposals) - Desirable
- Design skills including Adobe Creative Suite - Desirable
Please note that this position is subject to enhanced national security vetting. The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements (this may include obtaining SC, NNPPI or Developed Vetting (DV) level of security clearances).
