Bid Writer

Job Purpose As a Bid Writer, you will work under the supervision of a Bid Manager and will assist them in developing a proposal structure. The role also requires reviewing and editing previously written content where necessary, working with other bid team members to produce written bid responses and presentation collateral in line with deadlines. The role will involve writing content for use in the bid, and also presentations and all supporting documentation, ensuring a cohesive and consistent approach. Job Responsibilities You will plan the bid response and deliver submission documents in line with the requirements of each tender and in keeping with the Browne brand. You will be enthusiastic, passionate, and ambitious and able to quickly encapsulate our company culture in the submission content that you prepare. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience as a Bid Writer and will be able to demonstrate content for successful bids ranging in value from £5m to £20m. Technical writing skills, displaying creative flair in submissions
Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organizational skills
Ability to obtain accurate, high-quality information from all bid stakeholders in order to produce bid collateral
Able to work to tight deadlines in high pressured situations associated with deadlines
Excellent communicator with a strong command of spoken and written English
Good communication skills (verbal and written) and able to engage with all stakeholders at all levels
Team player with ability to help give team members the necessary skills and confidence to write and produce materials themselves
Self-motivated. Capable of working under minimal supervision and on own initiative.
Flexible approach to working hours
Good IT skills

Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and database software. Essential Qualifications Educated to degree level in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent qualification. Candidates without this level of education may be considered if they can demonstrate suitable work experience.
