MJ Quinn is a contractor for the provision of Mechanical, Electrical and Telecommunications services. We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Bid Writer to work within our Mechanical, Electrical & Building Maintenance Division on a permanent basis based in the North-West England.

Responsibilities:
The Bid Writer will be responsible for the generation of high-quality written bids, tenders, and quotation materials, working alongside management and other relevant staff. For competitive bids and tenders, it is expected that the BID WRITER will do this in a manner that achieves the highest possible score. The production of case studies for use on our website and social media will also be needed.
- Provide admin support from initial enquiry to tender submission, including bid writing input from simple quotations and client enquiries to large scale bid proposals and tender submissions.
- Assistance in sourcing new client; monitoring portals and sources of new / potential tender opportunities for the business.
- Taking ownership of client portals – including dealing with daily alerts and maintenance of porta logins.
- Taking ownership of the P11 / ITT / RFI process; including downloading, collating, preparing, completing, and submitting associated documents ahead of deadlines.
- Ensuring the correct documents are submitted/uploaded as part of a bid.
- Thoroughly editing and proof-reading materials to ensure information is formatted and grammatically correct without spelling errors, is well-researched, adheres to company brand guidelines and meets customers’ requirements.
- Ensuring that our in-house bid processes are developed, understood, and implemented to ensure that quality, commercial and legal requirements are consistently met.
- Create written content which is persuasive and information and standardised bid submission material content for the inclusion into PQQs, RFIs, questionnaires, etc.
Qualifications/ Experience
- Minimum 1-Years experience within a similar role.
- Experience of compelling bid writing material/proposals/offers for competitive tenders.
- Solid knowledge of the market and quality written responses.
- Experience in Facilities Maintenance and / or MEP.
- Competent in Technical Writing Skills.
- Proven experience as a Bid-Writer in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
