Responsibilities
- Executing and developing the product roadmap aligned to market, technology, and business
- Leading lab operations and guiding R&D activities
- Setting scientific strategies and research direction
- Liaising across functions to execute plans and deliver quality products
- Collaborating between R&D, engineering, and design for product development
- Driving scientific innovation to stay on the forefront of advancements
- Managing, recruiting, and leading the scientific team
- Supporting and mentoring team members
- Managing intellectual property and regulatory compliance
- Building academic, research, and industry collaborations
Requirements
- Relevant PhD or equivalent experience in bioprocess engineering, biochemical engineering, biotech, or related sciences
- Significant hands-on experience in cell development, iPSC culture, media development, bioprocessing, mammalian cell culture, tissue engineering, etc.
- 4+ years in product management or related role in bioprocessing, biotech, or pharma
- Proven success leading cross-functional teams and delivering products to market
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Resilient, can-do mind-set to lead and inspire teams
- Thrives in fast-paced start-ups, adapting to changing priorities
- Strong relationship building and teamwork skills
- Ability to deliver on plans, projects and goals
