Bookkeeper / Office Manager for a Premium Beverage Importing Company.
A London-based premium Beverage Importing company is looking for a Bookkeeper / Office Manager to cover a 1-year maternity contract. The ideal candidate will be diligent, kind and personable and fit well within the friendly team culture. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Role: Bookkeeper / Accountant / Office Manager
Duration: 11 months
Start date: ASAP (will wait 1 month's notice)
Salary: Up to £38,000 DOE
Working hours: 09:00- 17:00 (5 days in the office, potential 1 WFH following probation)
Location: West London
Responsibilities:
- Manage financial transactions including creating customer invoices, paying bills / invoices, bookkeeping and filing VAT returns
- Assist all directors with secretarial tasks, demonstrating strong attention to detail
- Analyse financial information promptly and competently, using strong Excel skills including VLookup and Pivot tables
- Communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial staff, demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Look for opportunities to improve current processes and demonstrate a willingness to learn
- Undertake minor office management tasks to ensure smooth operations
- Qualified accountant with 5+ years of experience in Finance, including roles such as Bookkeeper, Financial Manager or Finance Administrator
- Proficient in QuickBooks with extensive practical knowledge
- Experience in the higher education sector is preferable but not essential
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage large sets of data
- Familiarity with UK tax regulations, including PAYE and corporate tax returns (outsourced)
