Overview: We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has experience with accounting software and is proficient in accounts payable processes. Responsibilities: - Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices - Prepare and process financial transactions, including journal entries, expense reports, and bank reconciliations - Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and update general ledgers - Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes - Generate financial reports and statements as needed - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate recording of financial data - Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations Skills: - Proficient in using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks - Strong understanding of accounts payable processes - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be paid.
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract
Pay: £13.84-£19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 6 per week
Experience:
- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
- bookkeeping: 3 years (preferred)
