Very successful Software as a Service (SaaS) platform seeking a knowledgeable Bookkeeper. you will play a vital role in managing their financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance within their finance department. Working part-time, you'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to their dynamic team while enjoying the flexibility to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes with precision and efficiency.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
- Process payroll and assist in the administration of employee benefits.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to support decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures as required.
- Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned by management.
Required skills:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably within a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
- Proficiency using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Relevant certification (e.g., AAT) preferred but not required.
Location: Hove, UK.
Schedule: This is a part-time role, requiring a commitment of 2 to 3 days per week. The schedule can be flexible based on mutual agreement.
