Bookkeeper/Accounts

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper/ Accounts Assistant, ideally with level 3 or 4 AAT to join our client who are based on the outskirts on Bridgwater not far from the M5 , junction 23.

There are multiple arms to the business but your role will mainly be to look after the day to day accounting for the retail side of the business.

You will be part of a small friendly team in the wider business but will mainly be working independently as the sole person looking after the accounts.

Your responsibilities will include:

Daily banking

Sales Ledger (including invoicing, credit control)

Purchase Ledger (including delivery note matching, entering to Quick-books online, paying within payment terms)

Bank Reconciliation

Credit card reconciliation.

Petty Cash

VAT Returns

Weekly/Monthly reporting to owner/director

Cash flow.

Daily/Weekly/Monthly payments

Prepayments & accruals

Collating payroll hours on the excel spreadsheet and submission to the accountants.

Preparation of year end paperwork.

This role is to be based in the office, the hours of work are Monday- Friday- 37.5 hours with flexibility in terms of start or finish times. .

Salary up to £28000 ,holidays are 28 days including bank holidays ,pension and staff discount.
