The role
As a Building Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be responsible and accountable for the delivery of the building management on behalf of the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT) in line with company standards and contractual requirements.
Day to day, you'll provide facilities management tasks and report any faults to ensure the buildings are fit for purpose.
- Act as the focal point for the building and provide a reception service for customers, contractors and visitors.
- Providing a secure and safe working environment by assisting the onsite Health, Safety and Environmental team in the timely production of Health and Safety Risk Assessments and ensuring buildings, grounds and their immediate areas are maintained to a very high standard.
- To ensure cleanliness of buildings and surrounding areas for which you are responsible.
- To work with other departments, business units and nominated representatives to ensure a consistent approach is adopted to safety policy, processes, procedures and initiatives.
This role is full time, 37 hours based on site at HMS Sultan, Gosport.
Essential experience of the Building Manager:
- IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages to manipulate data accordingly and to present statistical information.
- Experience in fault finding and reporting in a building environment.
- Experience of working within a facilities management environment.
- Fire awareness trained.
- Risk assessment trained.
