We're currently in search of a skilled Building Surveyor to join our esteemed client's team, covering London and the home counties. This position is paying between £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience along with abundant opportunities for career growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Administration and Project Management: Oversee various projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Defect Diagnosis: Utilise your expertise to identify and assess defects in buildings, providing comprehensive reports and recommendations for remediation.
- Property Acquisition Surveys: Conduct thorough surveys of properties to assess their condition, suitability, and potential risks or liabilities.
- Planned Maintenance Reports: Prepare detailed reports outlining maintenance requirements and schedules to optimise the longevity and performance of buildings.
- Fire Reinstatement Cost Assessments: Evaluate the cost of reinstating properties following fire damage, providing accurate assessments for insurance purposes.
- Party Wall Matters: Handle party wall matters efficiently, facilitating communication and resolution between involved parties in accordance with relevant regulations.
- CDM (Construction Design and Management) Compliance: Ensure compliance with CDM regulations throughout the planning and execution of construction projects.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Degree-level qualification in Building Surveying, with Chartered status preferred.
- Minimum of three years of practice experience, with a focus on building surveying.
- Proficiency in conducting thorough property surveys and defect diagnoses.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and analytical mindset for accurate assessment and reporting.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including CDM and party wall legislation.
