We are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice to join our Team in our new Barnardo's service in Manchester. Barnardo's and Amazon have joined together in partnership to deliver a programme which aims to support and transform the lives of young people who are not in education, employment or training Manchester area. The aim of the programme is to equip young people 18-29 with the skills, confidence and ambition to pursue their goals of finding employment, apprenticeships or further education and training.
As a Admin Apprentice you will need to:
- Provide a welcoming telephone and face to face reception service for all young people and visitors.
- Assist the Team Manager with financial processes and management (e.g. maintaining petty cash, processing invoices, staff expenses and travel allowance for learners)
- Coordinate diaries, arrange meetings, type reports and take minutes
- Input data, organise filing system and develop and maintain records for learners, both electronically and manually
- Assist in the organisation of events and activities as required.
- Support with the recruitment of young people on the programme.
The successful candidate would need to have excellent IT skills; have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook; and the ability to learn local data systems with training They should have good organisational and communication skills and the work will be varied to support staff to meet the needs of the services.
Barnardo's Apprenticeship Scheme offers 18 months paid work, a comprehensive training programme and the opportunity to gain a Business Administration qualification. There will also be on the job learning and shadowing of other staff. You will be required to attend formal learning whilst working towards the qualification; informal coaching support will be provided by your line manager.
