Job description

The Role:
To sell order fulfilment services provided by the company. The focus will be approaching potential clients in the ecommerce sector, with the aim of winning new business. The primary focus will be on established and growing ecommerce companies and brands that require 3PL support to continue their growth and development, as well as potential clients that have previously outsourced their fulfilment requirements and are looking change provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct own lead generation, researching leads in target market via sector articles and news updates, creating cold calling lists, appointment setting whilst maintaining accurate lead and client records via the CRM.
- Present our clients services to potential customers favourably in a structured and professional manner by direct communication in face-to-face meetings, Teams Calls, telephone calls and emails.
- Maintain and expand client base in line with Company goals; building and maintaining rapport with key clients and identifying new customer opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop structured lead generation and prospecting campaigns
- Cold Call to arrange meetings with potential clients.
- Manage and attend client meetings both on and off site (travel will be required)
- Monitor lead generation from Company website, co-ordinating campaigns with the marketing team to ensure successful campaigns and ROI.
- Review competitors and gather market information, whilst understanding he needs of each sector.
- Upon receipt of client briefs, prepare and check quotes within 24 hours of receipt.
- Manage the tender process including pitches/presentations and close downs.
- Advise the leadership team on forthcoming product developments and discuss ideas for special projects.
- Attend and contribute to internal management and board meetings across the York and Slough locations.
- You will be responsible for the timely production of weekly sales dashboard report, monthly board reporting and ad hoc reporting as required.
- You may be required to carry out other tasks as reasonably required by your manager.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience in identifying key targets and opportunities in the ecommerce sector and specifically established and growing SME brands and companies.
- Strong ability to convert opportunities.
- Strong negotiations skills, with the tenacity to push back where a deal is not suitable for the business.
- Proven track record of hitting / exceeding targets.
- A strong communicator who is comfortable with internal and external stakeholder management as well as cross departmentally.
- Skill to present an effective, concise, accurate and detailed proposal.
- Great organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise a workload.
- Able to efficiently multi-task and maintain calm under pressure.
- Ability to coach and mentor less experienced staff.
- MS office, including word, excel, PowerPoint.
- A full UK driving license is essential for this role.
