We are delighted to be working on behalf of a marketing leading financial organisation, who are currently seeking to appoint a commercially minded and proactive individual to join their team as a Business Development Manager.
The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the market, with the ability to develop a pipeline, grow and retain accounts whilst maximising business opportunities and generating interest from potential business sources.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement a sales plan to achieve targets and completions, focusing on a good conversion rate of business through to completion and to maintain a healthy pipeline.
· Managing quality of business and ensuring to hit conversion rates, gross to net and net to completion.
· Achieve own sales targets and objectives along with focussing on department targets.
· Develop and maintain strong and respectful internal working relationships to ensure delivery of first-class service to brokers.
· Maintain up to date, accessible, broker contact records to ensure effective external relationship management.
· Work with the Key Account Manager to support a strategic approach to the Intermediary market - including attending events, providing market feedback, supporting with marketing content and insight into designated area.
· Generative in identifying, assessing, controlling, monitoring, and reporting all relevant risks including all operational and conduct areas, ensuring the controls in place mitigate the risks are robust and functioning effectively.
· Cold call as appropriate within the market / geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Skills and Experience
· Professional qualification - CeMap or Equivalent is desirable
· Experience working with Brokers
· Relationship management experience
· Financial services experience
· Sales planning skills and working in a targeted environment
· Influencing and negotiation skills
· Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport
