Business Development Manager needed in the fire protection industry.
I’m currently working with a manufacturer, supplier, and installer of fire protection solutions who are experiencing rapid growth, with a 50+ staff headcount and a turnover projected to quadruple from 2022 to 2024-year end. As a manufacturer, this business can supply product at a competitive price with a significantly shorter lead time compared to competitors.
We’re looking for an experienced BDM to work directly with the Managing Director, who can manage and accelerate the growth of their fire door revenue stream. This BDM must have expeirence driving sales of fire doors into the social housing sector.
Salary: £40k base salary (negotiable depending on experience) + car or car allowance + uncapped monthly paid commission (£20k to £40k OTE).
Location: Hybrid/field-based.
Duration: Permanent.

Responsibilities:
- Developing and driving the company’s fire door sales strategy into the social housing sector, whilst growing existing accounts.
- Responding quickly to customer enquiries.
- Travel across the Midlands territory as needed, plus occasional travel further afield.
- Discussing solutions with clients in person, understanding their needs, and providing timely customised proposals.
- Negotiating effectively with customers to secure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Ensuring seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Managing the company’s sales records in a CRM system.
- Conducting market research and analysis to identify industry trends and potential growth areas.
- Keeping up to date with industry developments and attending networking events.
