Salary: €48,000 Base (Dependent on experience)
Commission: Attractive commission rates

A leading dairy products company with over 90 years of excellence is expanding its portfolio to include premium ice-cream. We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team and drive the growth of our ice-cream brand in the Republic of Ireland.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop existing and new business in the retail, food-service, and tourism sectors, focusing on the Republic of Ireland, particularly along the Belfast-Dublin economic corridor.
• Acquire new business and manage new and existing accounts to foster growth.
• Act as the principal point of contact for customers, introducing them to new products and using their feedback to better understand the market.
• Work from home and on the road with customers, with weekly online meetings and occasional in-person meetings at our HQ in Northern Ireland.

Key Duties:

• Identify and convert leads into sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Use influencing and negotiation skills to close deals and expand market presence.
• Regularly communicate with customers at all organizational levels.

Candidate Requirements
Personal Attributes:

• Passionate about food and a natural people person.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to generate and convert leads.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills.

Experience:

• Ideally, experience within the food industry or FMCG.
• Existing network within food-service and/or convenience retail is advantageous.
• Proven track record in winning sales and managing accounts.

Additional Requirements:

• Own vehicle and a full driving licence are essential.
• Ability to store product samples (chest freezer space required).
