Business Development Manager (Cardiff)

Salary:

£28,000 - £30,000 + Excellent commission and realistic OTE of £50k+

My client is seeking dynamic Business Development Manager to contribute to the release and growth of our their SaaS products. This role is pivotal in driving new business and expanding the businesses customer base.

Location:

Office-based in Cardiff 

Role Overview:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be an experienced salesperson with a proven ability to generate and close new business opportunities. You will be responsible for the entire sales process, from lead generation to deal closure, with a strong focus on value selling and relationship building.

Key Objectives:

  • Represent the company effectively by gaining and maintaining an in-depth understanding of our SaaS products. This includes their features, benefits, and unique selling points, enabling you to convey their value convincingly to potential clients.

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential markets and business opportunities.

  • Utilise various mediums such as industry reports, networking events, and digital platforms to uncover and pursue new sales prospects.

  • Proactively generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and other outbound strategies.

  • Maintain a healthy and active pipeline by consistently following up with prospects and moving them through the sales funnel.

  • Meet and exceed company sales targets by setting and achieving personal sales goals.

  • Employ effective forecasting techniques to predict sales trends and plan strategically to ensure consistent performance and goal attainment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the customer base and extend the company's reach.
  • Demonstrate and sell products to potential clients, fostering long-lasting relationships.
  • Engage in daily sales activities including outbound calls, emails, MS Teams demonstrations, meetings, and CRM management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience in a SaaS/Software company.
  • Proven success in the entire sales process, from planning to closing, ideally exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS systems with a demonstrated ability to learn and sell them effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Additional Information:

  • This role focuses solely on generating new business.
  • The successful candidate will work in an office environment, closely interacting with the support team.
  • Commission structure includes 25% on all software sales, with monthly payouts.
