We are looking for an Accountant who has worked in practice with a flair for customer interaction to be our Business Development Manager.
The successful candidate will be a sales focused accountant who can communicate why our accountancy services is right for our potential customers, and be able to give initial advice on consultation calls (primarily on video call) and then sell our service to ecommerce business owners.
Job Overview:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a leading role in continuing to grow our client base and strengthening our position as the leading e-commerce accountancy service provider in the UK.
You will be a strategic thinker with a knack for identifying customer pain points and converting prospects into clients.
Key responsibilities for the role sit across the three main areas sales and Business Development, strategy and customer success.
1. Sales and Business Development
- Be an expert in our customer needs and be able to provide sound commercial advice and recommendations over the phone or video call.
- Lead sales calls with potential clients and provide recommendations for the most suitable services to meet their needs.
- Meet sales target set in agreement with the Managing Director for the number of new customers acquired and customers retained.
2. Strategy
- Understand the evolving ecommerce market and the resulting client pain points and needs.
- Develop and implement growth strategies to acquire new e-commerce clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted growth campaigns.
3. Account management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Act as a co-ordinator of customer requests or questions to ensure that customers remain satisfied with the service.
- Be an escalation point for customers.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales or Business Development, preferably in the accountancy sector.
- Ability to learn and simplify complex accounting concepts to enable you to sell our service.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
