Our Sales, Marketing, Training & Membership department oversee all the commercial elements for our organisation: liaising and supporting our technical functions with marketing campaigns, market research, developing key accounts, overall strategy and ensuring our members have added value through our services and consultancy.
We also provide a wide range of training courses from introductions into microbiology, Food Science & Technology, Thermal Processing etc to advanced HACCP and international regulatory courses.
Business Development Manager- Beverages
With proven experience, ideally in a consultative, technical sales environment, you will be responsible for revenue generation and sales by providing dedicated Business Development support to technical colleagues within the business as well as building you own portfolio of clients and accounts to generate incremental growth. You will be a results orientated, self-starter with a commercial mindset who is able to prioritise activities in order to achieve targeted revenue growth.
Position
- Create and deliver targeted revenue growth through sales, account and general Business Development activities
- Provide support to technical colleagues to identify and pursue new Business Development opportunities that grow revenues including client visits
- Plan structured approaches and campaigns to target clients with a focus on the biggest revenue generating and highest growth potential opportunities
- Experience of selling analytical and technical services to food and drink industry and/or understanding of laboratory and manufacturing in the food and drink industry
- Maintain records of all client engagements through CRM
Requirements
- A confident communicator with the ability to work with people at all levels within work and client environments
- A natural team player with the ability to work unsupervised in a target orientated environment
- Degree in science or technology or equivalent professional experience
- Full, clean driving license
