We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join a leading Contract Research Organisation working across the Pharmaceutical and Biotech space. The job will be remote based, reporting into the head office based in Cheshire.
As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for creating and leading business growth strategies across the Life Sciences Industry.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Business Development Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for the direct selling of services, delivering annual revenue targets and growth, focussed on establishing new and enhancing existing client relationships.
2. Develop and implement strategies for the growth of existing key clients and seeking out new opportunities with new clients. This will include developing an annual account plan for assigned market segments and report quarterly progress.
3. Develop and maintain an extensive market knowledge , including detailed knowledge of our competitors, their activities and business risk. Continuously look to improve on your scientific knowledge. Look to attend conferences across the Life Sciences sector where possible.
4. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to drive opportunities forward and provide clients with the information they need as efficiently as possible.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Business Development Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. You will be degree qualified within a Life Sciences discipline or similar scientific qualification.
2. Proven Business Development experience working for a Contract Research Organisation or similar. Those with a background in Toxicology will be preferred.
3. A proven track record in life science sales, with demonstrable experience of achieving sustained growth within customer accounts.
