Our leading manufacturing focused organisation is looking to appoint a Business Intelligence Support Analyst to support both operational and BI reporting across various projects and businesses within the organisation. Reporting to the Applications Support Manager, you will be managing the integrity and quality of data and processes from numerous different business systems and sources, to deliver smooth business operations, and a connected view of all the business data.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Experience of working in Production Planning and Finance sector an advantage
• Expertise in the various technologies needed to implement Microsoft BI solutions
• Must have minimum of 2 years’ experience with the Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS and Power BI):
• Relational Database and SQL Language
• Dashboard Development (Microsoft Power BI)
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse Solutions
• Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) (Microsoft SSIS)
• Report Development (Microsoft SSRS)
• Dimensional Modeling (Kimball Methodology)
• Analytics / OLAP Cube Development (Microsoft SSAS and MDX)
• Exposure to Azure an advantage
• Cognos experience an advantage
• Microsoft SharePoint
• Microsoft AX Dynamics Finance exposure an advantage
• Preactor Planning exposure an advantage
• SentryOne knowledge advantageous
• Microsoft qualified or equivalent experience
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement & innovation
• Can demonstrate the ability to clearly articulate a story, using a logical, meaningful data flow
• Ability to effectively prioritise and deliver in a demanding manufacturing environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting reports & dashboards using full Microsoft SQL stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI) in line with business requirements and the IT strategy.
• Working in collaboration with SMEs, Technical Analysts and Business Analysts to identify user needs and supporting solutions consistent with the technical strategies of the Group.
• Ensure data quality & accuracy of reporting.
• Support and enhance blended Business Intelligence reports using data from our major business systems.
• Simple enhancements to existing reporting, applying knowledge to identify improvements, ensure best use of technology.
• Finding enhancements in processes for faster event identification and resolutions
• Communicate solutions and follow processes to keep business up to date on developments and available products.
• Work with the rest of the Business Intelligence Team to support them in their roles.
