Join our Business Support Team!
Our Business Support Team in Engineering Services is looking for a highly motivated Business Manager to join the team. Engineering Services sits within our Universal Services department. We are a forward-thinking in-house consultancy providing a range of services to the County Council and other public authorities. This includes design, laboratory testing, site supervision and project/contract management from early stages of a project through to supervision of construction.
As a Business Manager, you will lead the Business Management Team in Engineering Services, overseeing the performance of project and service commissions of the £15M service. You will guide and challenge service leads on business planning and decision making, in order to maximise commercial opportunities and minimise risks. The post will continually track internal and external client accounts, supporting the Head of Services and budget holders in making operational and strategic decisions to maximise income and reduce costs wherever possible. You will have extensive skills in business analytics, financial administration and commercial business management. The role has responsibility for managing a team that administers £50M+ of operational transactions relating to project costs, including statutory undertakers, professional services and traded activities.

You will have significant experience in business management and knowledge and experience of the construction industry. You will also have strong relationship management skills and an ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of peers, colleagues and stakeholders.
