This is a new, busy and varied role which is focussed on supporting the International Finance and Economic Security (IFES) Director Group.
About the Team
Within HM Treasury’s International Group, the International Finance and Economic Security (IFES) Director Group is a friendly group made up of four Deputy Director-led teams, covering International Finance and Development (IFD), Global Institutions and Governance (GIG), Russia, Ukraine and Economic Security (RUES) and China, Projects and Delivery (CPD).
About the Job
In this role you willfocus on delivering the Director’s corporate priorities and overseeing business management within the Directorate (including business planning, Director budgets, workforce and succession planning, performance and talent management, recruitment, including central recruitment bids).
Key Accountabilities will include:
- Direct line management responsibility for at least three PA staff members working multi-site (London and Darlington), with responsibility for their performance and development creating a high-performing Director Group Support Team.
- Providing support on budget management and workforce planning to the Director as budget holder. Ensure the effective delivery of Director Group Management Team meeting through working with the relevant PA, making sure actions are tracked and taking action to ensure that these issues are progressed.
- Through the Directorate Support Team you will have overall responsibility for delivery of business and administrative support to the Director Group including (but not limited to) Business Continuity, correspondence coordination, Induction and other.
- Setting the forward plan for Director Group’s Management Team meetings working with Directors.
- Leading on corporate priorities and project for the directorate.

- Deliver a high quality, efficient and cost-effective service including by considering a range of methods for delivery.
