Located across 2 sites in Southeast London the Novum Health Partnership serves circa 21,000 patients offering a complete range of medical services including general medical, surgical care, maternity care, baby clinics, immunisations, minor surgery, contraception, screening and health promotion. In addition to supporting a range of wider community-based NHS contracts that support vulnerable groups and training GPs of the future. Job Description
The post holder will provide best in class operational leadership for an efficient administration and management support service, critical to your success will be communication both internally & externally. Key functions of the role include (but are not limited) to the following:
Business Planning
- Ensures that Novum Health maintains an excellent reputation for quality care and services, whilst making recommendations and proposing solutions for any necessary improvements.
- Representing the Health Partnership at commissioner meetings, providing high quality reporting to demonstrate effective service delivery.
- CQC Lead across compliance, maintenance, and inspections.
- Identify new opportunities in collaboration with the Partners.
People Management & Processes
- Workforce planning to ensure that all staff are effective in role.
- Lead on employee relations from staff development to issues management.
- Providing advice to the Partners on any performance or HR Issues
- Keeping abreast of current employment legislation
- On going staff training, maintaining any well-being programmes
- Directly motivate and manage 2 staff.
Patient Experience
- Ensures the practice complies with NHS obligations in relation to patient care.
- Manage the complaints management system, ensuring successful resolution.
- Maintains a welcoming physical environment for patients that delivers excellent customer service.
- Ensures accessibility for patients with disability.
Financial Management
- Working with Practice Account to oversee all aspects of finances ensuring the systems are up to date and accurate.
- Credit control - monitoring timely payments of Practice income.
- Monthly payment processes working with Lead Partner
- Oversee payroll with the Practice Manager
The Successful Applicant
The candidate that secures this Business Planning & Practice Lead role will be a highly organised, with a strong interest in people development, operational management, finance and business development and customer service.
You will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Experience of working in teams; able to promote teamwork and employee satisfaction.
- Financial systems and process management
- Experience as a business manager, with knowledge of employment law
- A track record of working with regulatory bodies and preparing for inspections
- Management experience in the NHS or in practice management will be advantageous
- A solution focused approach to problem solving
- Effective communication (oral and written) and excellent inter-personal skills
- Delegation and empowerment of staff
- Negotiating and resolving conflict situation
- Networking and facilitation
