Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Business Support Administrator for an initial 23 month contract on a rate of £14.25/hour PAYE. The working hours are 37 hours per week. This role will be office based. Responsibilities:- Under direction from the relevant teams and information management officer, apply naming conventions to emails and documents and file them appropriately in the organisation's Electronic Records and Document Management system, following record management, retention and destruction policies to allow the creation of an accurate corporate record. - Book meetings and meeting rooms using Outlook. - Report IT faults in the organisations IT ticketing system. - Monitor and maintain stationary and office supplies working with the finance team. Overseeing catering arrangements when appropriate. - Arrange travel and overnight accommodation. - Provide support and cover to Operations Team colleagues who are undertaking administrative roles. Essential Skills:- Stores, manages and retrieves information through effective use of information systems. - Contributes to the continuous improvement of information systems. - Uses a range of corporate systems, including Microsoft Office applications and is aware of security and organisational procedures. - Understands colleagues needs and expectations and responds in a helpful and professional way. - Builds positive working relationships within the team and external stakeholders and works to agreed time scales where appropriate and standards of quality. - Can be relied on to deliver agreed personal objectives and is aware of how their work connects with the work of others. - Builds networks and maintains good working relationships with colleagues, valuing their contribution and open to different points of view. - Contributes views, ideas and experience to improve the team's performance, offering and/or seeking practical help when necessary. - Responsible for personal behaviour and is accountable for own actions, health and wellbeing. - Aware of personal strengths, takes pride and responsibility for performance at work and is responsive to constructive feedback. - Adaptable, contributes to and embraces new ways of doing things, seeking the support of others when needed.
