Business Support Assistant

We are looking for a Business Support Officer in Taunton to support the Childrens Social Care team.

Wednesday & Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm

This is a contract running from July until January 2025.

Duties will include:

• Deputise as required for the Business Support Manager.
• Take a lead role for Business Support activities associated with Children's Social Care. Attend and participate at specialist county-wide operational management meetings.
• Deploy staff and resources and determine day to day priorities to ensure that business needs are met, and administrative and customer service standards are maintained.
• Contribute to the induction of operational staff.
• Work with CSC PSSD team to maintain up to date Business Process Maps (BPMs) and Children's Social Care templates.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• 5 GSCE's or equivalent experience including English and Maths.
• Competent with Microsoft Office programs to include Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to follow procedures, policies and organisational frameworks.
• Some form of administration experience.
• Basic DBS already in place is essential for this role.
