About the Team
We are actively seeking a results-oriented and detail-driven Investment Analyst to join our Capital Markets team, working with the Newmark group of companies you will work with local and international colleagues.
Main responsibilities
Financial Modelling
- Maintain intricate financial models to aid brokers on the feasibility of real estate investment opportunities, considering variables such as market dynamics, risk factors, and financial forecasts.
- Performing sensitivity and scenario analysis to better inform brokers and clients on risk / returns.
- Assistance with creation of standard template models.
- Involvement in review process – performing formula and analytical review on the integrity of internal models.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to support brokers, research and advisory services to guide clients in making informed investment decisions.
Market Research
- Keep abreast of the latest market trends, economic indicators, and emerging developments within the real estate sector.
- Analyse market data to support brokers on identifying investment opportunities.
- Examining and summarise financial statements in emails or presentation format.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to compile relevant information and ensure a comprehensive evaluation process.
Quantitative Analysis
- Apply advanced quantitative methods to assess the financial performance and viability of real estate investment opportunities.
- Leverage statistical tools and technology to enhance analytical processes and provide clients with strategic insights.
Technology Integration
- Demonstrate agility in adopting new technologies and methodologies relevant to real estate investment advisory.
- Stay informed about advancements in financial technology, integrating innovative solutions to enhance the quality and efficiency of advisory services.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with our brokers and collaborating with portfolio managers, financial analysts, and other professionals to present findings and recommendations to clients.
- Communicate complex quantitative analysis clearly and effectively to clients with varying levels of technical expertise.
About you
The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, an understanding of financial modelling, a passion to learn, good at communication and demonstrate a commitment to staying ahead of industry trends. This position is crucial to our ability to provide clients with valuable insights and recommendations for real estate investments spanning across a variety of sectors as well as M&A and re-capitalisation efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial modelling and analysis.
- Knowledge of returns metrics and a nuanced understanding of various financing structures (although not essentials).
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly understand and apply new technologies and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Working Hours
Our hybrid working policy outlines staff to be in the office for 3 days per week, with 2 days working from home. In our London offices, our desk booking app allows you to plan ahead, and book your desk up to 3 weeks ahead. We also offer great flexibility around our core hours, which are from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. You can choose to start and end your day around these hours, provided you still do your 7.25 hours per day (e.g. 8.00 am – 4.30pm, 10.00 am – 6.30 pm). There is no requirement for this to be the same each day, but you are required to keep your manager informed. This position also involves out of hours working on an ‘as necessary’ basis. We are open to considering flexible working arrangements for everyone; this can be discussed during the application process or upon commencement.
