The Home
Slemish is a registered Nursing Home which provides nursing care for up to 45 patients. The home is over two floors. Patient bedrooms are located over the two floors. Patients have access to a communal lounge, dining room and outside spaces. We are currently opening a new unit within the home in May, so we have opportunities to expand our team!
The Role
To provide high-quality person-centred care to the residents of the home, supporting with their everyday needs and contributing to their enjoyment of life.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist qualified staff with care plans, tasks and activities to support the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
- Participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved
- Assist residents with eating, drinking, washing, dressing and going to the toilet
- Assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognising changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families
You will need:
- To be a good listener, showing patience, compassion, empathy and understanding
- A good standard of written and oral English
- Experience in Health and Social Care not required as full training will be provided
- The Right to Work in the UK
- Be NISCC registered or eligible to register
