Care Operations Manager
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey (Hybrid)
Salary: Circa £40k + Excellent Benefits
Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week
The Client:
Our client, a leading charitable organisation in the health and social care sector, specialises in personal care services, including washing, dressing, and operates a Day Unit for early-onset dementia.
The Role:
As a Care Operations Manager, you will lead the team of Senior Service Managers and work closely with HR to identify recruitment requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Allocate resources effectively within the organisation.
- Ensure adequate cover for the out-of-hours service.
- Work with the Head of Care Operations for compliance and safe practices.
- Establish effective communication with operations, training, compliance, and contracts teams.
- Provide supervision, coaching, and guidance to line management and care staff.
- Attend networking events to promote services.
- Collaborate with Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications for fundraising direction.
- Review Service Development Plan for overall compliance.
- Deputise in the absence of the Head of Care Operations.
Requirements:
- Previously worked as a Care Operations Manager or in a similar role.
- NVQ 5 in Leadership / Management in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Prior management experience.
- Experience in creating and auditing of risk assessments and care plans.
- Knowledge of learning disabilities, autism, and dementia strategies,
- Background in designing and writing reports for prompt information sharing.
- Understanding of safeguarding protocols with experience addressing related concerns.
- Skilled in IT, including Microsoft Office.
- Senior Leadership qualification in Health & Social Care (desirable).
- Valid UK driving licence with a roadworthy car.
