Role Overview
- Champion of STEM: You will be the torchbearer for STEM Learning, advocating its mission and impact among government bodies, funders, educational institutions, employers, and learned societies.
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate closely with our Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team to shape our strategic vision and plan. Your insights will guide our journey toward excellence.
- Governance Stewardship: As a board member, you’ll approve budgets, audit reports, and critical business decisions. Uphold legal and fiduciary responsibilities with diligence.
- Performance Assessment: Regularly evaluate our outcomes and effectiveness using agreed-upon metrics. Ensure we stay on course to achieve our goals.
- People Leadership: Oversee the performance of our Chief Executive, providing guidance and support. Work with the Remuneration Committee on senior staff recruitment and pay reviews
- Board Dynamics: Foster a collaborative environment by periodically consulting with fellow board members, helping them excel in their roles.
