Reports to: The BSIF Board of Directors.
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire with a requirement for travelling throughout the UK.
Package: A competitive salary in the range of £95k and £120k is offered, depending on experience, as well as an attractive benefits package.

The role of CEO reports to the BSIF Board of Directors, with the CEO responsible for ensuring that the BSIF maintains and continuously enhances its influence, standing and reputation in all areas of its activities delivering measurable value for the membership and a positive contribution to better safety and health in the workplace. The CEO will be seen as the figurehead and spokesperson for the BSIF and its members, reinforcing its position as the authoritative source of expertise and guidance on all matters PPE and that it continues to be recognised as such by Government, Public Sector organisations, Media Outlets, affiliated organisations, industry and the BSIF membership.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate, an ambitious individual, who should be able to demonstrate a deep knowledge of the Safety and Health industry and its practices and structures, with direct experience of PPE and the delivery of safety support processes. The role is a senior position and applicants should have over 20 years in the sector with prominent organisations. It is anticipated that candidates will come from senior leadership positions with clear evidence of progression through increasing levels of seniority. The role requires all the normal commercial skills and capabilities associated with managing and leading an internationally respected body.
The Board of BSIF would also welcome interest from individuals outside of the PPE and Safety and Health sector but who can demonstrate a successful track record with managing trade bodies and or member organisations.
The CEO will be seen as the leader and spokesperson for the BSIF and its members re-enforcing its position as the source of expertise and guidance on all matters PPE and safety equipment.
