We are seeking an Inspirational and Dynamic Leader.  We are looking for an ‘ideas person’ capable of delivering change and developing services.  We need an excellent communicator who is able to nurture relationships with key 
partners, manage and motivate our incredibly dedicated staff and persuade others of the need to support our 
cause. 

Age UK Bury is an independent local charity. Our trustees are local people who are passionate about making a difference for people aged 50 years and above in Bury. The charity operates from the Jubilee Centre, Mosley Avenue in Bury which along with an onsite café provides a function space for community events and fundraising activities. The charity also operates two shops located in Bury town centre and Ramsbottom village in addition to Dumers Lane Centre, Radcliffe which provides local services. The charity revenue streams of the café and shops in conjunction with Grant funding underpin our charitable aims and objectives.

Key responsibilities

• ·         To be responsible for the effective and proper leadership and management of the organisation and its resources.
• ·         To support the Board in setting the vision, mission, strategic objectives and strategic priorities for the charity and develop its philosophy and values.
• ·         To lead the business development plans for development of the charity in its purpose of supporting people aged 50 years and over.
• ·         To promote the mission, aims, values and objectives of Age UK Bury (AUKB) as the public facing representative of the charity.
• ·         To provide forward looking strategic leadership and management of the organisation and its resources to promote the objectives of the charity.
• ·         To ensure the charity fulfils all its legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities.
