We are currently seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead our Children and Families Team located in Taw View, North Walk, Barnstaple. The Team Manager will play a crucial role in supporting and developing the team to deliver effective and compassionate social care services. This position requires experience in safeguarding and court work, as well as strong interpersonal and relationship skills. This role includes an accommodation or commuter allowance of up to £150 per week for those candidates living more than 50 miles away.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership and supervision to a team of social work practitioners.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality social care services to Children and families.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practices in safeguarding.
- Support the implementation of restorative practice approaches within the team.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
The key requirements for this position are;
- A Social Work Qualification and Registration with SWE.
- Experience as a Team Manager in Safeguarding and court work.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
- Commitment to supporting and developing a team of social work practitioners.
- Ability to work on-site in Taw View, Barnstaple for 5 days every other week, and as required for training during non-duty weeks.
