We are looking to recruit a Childrens Team Manager - Children's Safeguarding Team within the Social Care industry in Tameside. The vacancy will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.
Responsibilities include:
- Knowledge of the Family Intervention project Model
- Experience of offering outreach support to children and families
- Knowledge of key legislation relevant to professional social care work
- Knowledge of the functions of a health and social care department and related agencies
- Knowledge of methods to assess performance and achievement of targets in social work practice
- Experience of managing a complex case load
- Ability to organise and prioritise work and manage time effectively
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills with clients and other health professionals
- Experience of producing reports for a variety of audiences
- Able to work independently and lead a team.
Experience preferred:
- Experience of working within a statutory Children's Safeguarding Team within the UK.
Minimum requirements:
- 3 year post qualified experience in a similar role within the UK
- Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- DipSW/CQSW equivalent
- Post qualifying supervision of SW's or students
