CLAIMS HANDLER

FULL TIME & PERMANENT

Based in Northwich, Monday to Friday

Salary: £23,500 - £25,000

We have two brand new opportunities for Property Insurance Claim Handlers. You will be based in our Northwich Office, Monday to Friday.

As our newly appointed Claims Handler, you’ll be working on claims associated with our Captive Scheme (claims below approx. £250,000), delivering a high quality, professional advice service, seeing all claims through from beginning through to conclusion.

As this is a brand-new role, you will have the opportunity to shape this job as your own – drawing upon your previous claims handling experience, recommending processes to ensure we manage claims promptly and provide an excellent customer service.

What are some of the tasks you will be doing day to day?

  • Manage a caseload of captive scheme property insurance claims from receipt to completion.
  • Advise and update clients about relevant events and discussions during their claim.
  • Regularly assess the status of claims with clients, insurers, brokers and/or their advisors/solicitors, including updating and informing them of any additional
  • information acquired during the claims process.
  • Offer appropriate technical advice to clients throughout the duration of the claim.
  • Ensure your market, insurance, legislation, and other technical knowledge is up to date.
  • Run claims efficiently and keep the system updated with all relevant information.
  • Ensure that claims statistics are accurate and produced in accordance with SLAs.

What are we looking for from our Claims Handler?

Over and above anything else we’re looking for self-motivated people with a positive attitude. It’s a given you will be a great communicator, be able to demonstrate empathy, whilst supporting our clients during what may be a potentially stressful time.

We’re looking for…

  • Previous claims handling experience is essential
  • First class customer service skills, where providing a great service just comes naturally to you!
  • Super organisational skills, and the ability to effectively manage your own caseload of claims
  • Results driven, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both written, verbal and listening
  • Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word
