Salary upto £27,000 

Opportunity to work hybrid after probation.

MERJE are working with a fab company in Warrington that are  seeking a Clinical Negligence Claims Handler to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will ideally have exposure to Clinical Negligence Claims as a cliaims handler or have come from a legal background with exposure/knowledge  of Clinical Negligence 
Responsibilities:
- Proactively review insurance policies and claims
- Determine liability and quantum, securing information and settling claims utilizing claims policies and guidelines
- Recognize issues with policy coverages and escalate issues as needed
- Set tasks, reserves, and authorize payment within the scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective and timely manner
- Participate in performing investigations and evaluating claims through contact with solicitors, brokers, insureds, claimants, witnesses, and experts
- Identify and escalate serious claim developments to management efficiently and effectively
- Recognize the need for negotiation, participate in planning strategy, and negotiate within the scope of authority
- Responsible for inputting data that accurately reflects claim circumstances and other important information
- Keep current on relevant issues, regulations, and trends
- Comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Knowledge of claims and insurance industry theories and practices is desirable
- Clear analytical skills
- Ability to maintain an open mind and be responsive to change
- Effectively prioritize and adhere to deadlines
- Regular reviews of Insurance principles and guidance
- Competently use agreed processes/methods to achieve objectives
- Able to interact and communicate with team members and senior management in a respectful manner
- Ability to work independently and good time management skills
