he headteacher and governors of St Wilfrid's Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint a Class Teacher to join our warm and inviting 'good' school (OfSTED September 2023).
This post will be a 12 month Maternity Cover in the first instance, with the possibility of it becoming permanent for the right candidate. 
We are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated person with a proven track record of outstanding teaching. 
St Wilfrid's is a small and vibrant, multicultural, inner city school with 225 pupils on roll. It is a one form entry school with a 26 place Nursery.

  • Has experience of working in a mainstream school, preferably in key stage 2
  • Has a successful, proven track record
  • Has recent good and outstanding experience of teaching in a Primary School setting
  • Can demonstrate knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Has a passion for working with all children and being kind, caring and flexible
  • Is an inspirational role model who is highly motivated and committed to working as part of a school team
  • Has high expectations and demonstrates a commitment to raising standards and achieving the best for all children, both academically and pastorally
  • Is committed to inclusion and to providing exciting and stimulating learning opportunities for children of all abilities
  • Is able to form successful relationships with pupils, other staff, parents and the wider community
