St John’s Catholic Specialist School is a school for young people up to 19 years with special educational needs. Our mission is to support our students to gain the knowledge and skills they will need to thrive in adult life. Every day is different, and staff work with pupils with a range of different needs, which include sensory impairments, communication and learning challenges or autism. We are looking for two teachers to join an experienced and enthusiastic team of staff supporting a small group of KS3 pupils with complex educational needs.
This role includes:
- Planning, teaching, and assessing learning in an imaginative curriculum.
- Working with a support team of knowledgeable and committed colleagues.
- Enhancing pupils’ communication skills.
- Promoting pupils’ self-esteem, independence, and participation within the school and local community.
