Mill Hill Primary School is looking to appoint an efficient and dedicated Clerk to Governors, to start on 1st March 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter.
This role involves working closely with the Chair of the Governing Body and Headteacher to co-ordinate the running of governor meetings. This includes agenda setting, distributing documents, minute-taking and providing advice on governance procedures. There is a wide range of support and training available to assist in undertaking this role.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong organisational and time management skills
- Pays attention to detail and can produce accurate records
- Works well independently and on their own initiative
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and impartiality
- Is willing to undergo training if necessary.
The role is mostly home-based with the flexibility to complete clerking tasks around your existing commitments. The governing body meetings are held at the school, usually starting between 4-6pm and lasting for approximately 2 hours.
The role is paid on an annualised hours basis, which means the post holder will receive their salary in equal monthly payments.
