Client Accountant

We are really excited to be working exclusively on behalf of a Huddersfield based accountancy practice for a Client Manager/Accountant to make a significant difference to a large portfolio of loyal clients. We are searching for a confident communicator and offering a competitive salary of up to 45,000 dependant on experience and a wide range of excellent benefits, this isn't an opportunity to miss. The Client Manager will be responsible for a large portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for preparation of accounts and be wholly responsible for compliance reporting deadlines.

Duties and responsibilities for the Client Manager involve:

• Managing a portfolio of clients and carrying out onsite meetings
• Providing advice and support to clients and taking a consultative approach
• Dealing with client queries and passing onto the correct individual when needed
• Liaising with HMRC and other external sources as required
• Preparation of accounts and tax computations for complicated jobs
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients
• Ensuring that client data is up to date on the system
• Reviewing client debtor balances
• Overseeing and supporting more junior members of the team, no prior experience of doing this is needed

Skills and experience required:

• Experience of working within a practice environment previously
• AAT qualified with experience or ACCA/ACA qualified
• Able to build up relationships with both clients and colleagues and always maintaining a positive outlook
• Problem solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication
• Able to prioritise workload effectively
