Responsibilities:
As a key member of our team, you'll be entrusted with a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Managing a team of book-keepers and client managers including trainees
- Training and development of fellow team members
- Planning the client compliance work
- Preparation of accounts
- Managing and adhering to strict deadlines
- Managing workflow and work-allocation
- Reporting to Senior Managers and contributing to and participating in meetings
- Dealing with external organisations including HMRC
- Management of client records
- Managing client's enquiries
- Dealing with general ad hoc duties as and when required
Qualifications/Competencies:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- ACCA or ACA Qualified - 2 years + post qualification (essential)
- 5 years' plus experience working in an accounting practice (essential).
Skills:
We're looking for individuals with expertise in:
- Knowledge of Accounting Standards & Compliance Rules
- Knowledge of Taxation
- Sage; Xero; QuickBooks; DEXT; Sage Cloud Accounting
- Computer Literate e.g. Excel, Email, Word, PowerPoint, internet etc
- Confidence in dealing with clients and responding to client queries
- Ability to manage and train a team
