Job description

Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Define and manage the product strategy and roadmap for Cloud Products, including identifying market opportunities, defining product features and functionality, and creating a roadmap that aligns with Claranet’s goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with Technology Practices (engineering teams) to oversee products development process from ideation to launch, ensuring products are developed according to specifications and timelines
  • Work closely with other Product Managers to develop go-to-market strategies that effectively promote the Cloud Products to potential customers
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, to gain insights into their needs and feedback on the product
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay current on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor products, and using this information to inform product decisions
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the private and public Cloud Products operations, and making data-driven decisions to optimise performance
  • Work with Customer Experience and Managed Service teams to ensure that the private and public Cloud Products meet customer needs and address any issues or concerns that arise
  • Stay abreast of market dynamics trends and customer feedback to ensure Claranet's proposition continuously challenges the market and creates differentiation
  • Work with strategic alliances, partners, and suppliers to align propositions and portfolio
  • Develop a deep understanding of Claranet Cloud Products and their capabilities
  • Launch all new products and services onto the strategic IT stack where possible
  • Understand security and compliance requirements for Cloud Products deployed on private and public clouds and ensure that the products meet those requirements.

  • Customer Experience and Managed Services – ensure we are consistently providing the best service to our customers, proactively monitoring their needs, and integrating their feedback into our future portfolio and propositions.
  • Customer Success and Growthcollaborate to develop go-to-market strategies that effectively promote the Cloud Products to potential customers
  • Finance and Corporate Development – contribute to the budget process for portfolio and propositions development.

  • Strong knowledge of private and public cloud infrastructure, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies such as containers, Kubernetes, serverless computing, and microservices architecture
  • Understanding of cloud security principles, including access control, data encryption, and network security
  • Experience with cloud monitoring and management tools
  • Strong understanding of agile software development methodologies and product management frameworks
  • Strong commercial skills with cost to serve experience
  • Experience in creating repeatable products that can drive simplification and systems digitisation of the portfolio
  • Strong oral, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Gravitas and strong negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to build credibility quickly at all levels
  • Ability to work in and coordinate complex cross functional teams
  • Experience in Agile product development methodologies
  • Detail orientated and with a systematic and organised approach.

Position Summary The Cloud Product Manager role is to manage the development and launch of a private cloud products and solutions and is responsible for the ongoing operation and maintenance of a Claranet’s public cloud-based products and services. They are responsible for driving the product strategy and roadmap, working closely with cross-functional teams such as Technology Practices, Customer Success & Growth, and Customer Experience and Managed Services. They are also responsible for driving repeatability and scalability of cloud products and solutions. The Cloud Product Manager is going to collaborate with Portfolio Architecture and Technology Practices to optimise, evolve and maintain the next-generation cloud products, services, and solutions. Role Mission Claranet’s strategy is to build long-term, trusted relationships with its customers by delivering market-leading, integrated managed solutions. We are seeking a manager to maintain and evolve existing private and public cloud products and services that Claranet offers to customers and that enables cross and up sell. Objectives and Key Results The Cloud Product Manager is part of a team representing a portfolio with over £110m+ per annum in revenue. The key objectives will be to: Develop and innovate private and public cloud products which will contribute to our revenue growth and marginality that align with Claranet goals Ensure that products meet customer needs and address any issues or concerns that arise Contribute to the target of 70% of services are scalable and repeatable Ensure products are developed according to specifications and timelines and with commercial acumen in mind Ensure the ongoing maintenance and improvement of existing products Maintain an up-to-date product / service catalogue.
