Job Description: A client I am working with is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join their team in Cambridge. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and operating the CNC machines to produce high-quality products according to engineering specifications.
Key responsibilities:
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machine set-up and programming requirements.
- Write and optimize CNC programs, ensuring efficient and accurate machining processes.
- Set up CNC machines and tooling, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the machining process to ensure products meet strict quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimize processes and achieve production targets.
- Document and maintain accurate records of program revisions, tooling changes, and machine settings.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CNC programming techniques.
