Our client is a specialist manufacturer of high quality, precision machined components. They operate within a diverse range of industries including Pharmaceutical, Tele coms, Scientific, Marine & Medical.
Due to their on-going growth, they are now looking for a motivated Precision Engineer to join their highly skilled team as a CNC Programmer. The successful candidate will be a motivated individual, able to work from engineering drawings to tight tolerances and deadlines.
CNC Programmer - Position Overview
- Set, operate & program a variety of CNC Machinery.
- Program online using Heidenhain/Siemens controls.
- Program offline using Feature Cam/Hypermill.
- Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances and accurate against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Monitor quality to ensure products meet specifications.
- Machine multiple types of materials including stainless steel, brass, copper, and plastic.
- Adhering to health and safety protocols
- Work with other machinists and engineers to optimise CNC processes and provide technical support.
CNC Programmer - Position Requirements
- Apprentice trained or a relevant qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience in programming & setting CNC milling 3 axis machines, 4 and/or 5 axis experience is advantageous.
- Computer literate
- The successful candidate will be a strong team player, with a positive attitude and good organisation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
CNC Programmer - Position Remuneration
- Monday to Friday position, 8 hours a day with flexible starting and finish times between 7:30am and 5:00pm.
- Overtime available
- Salary £35,000 to £37,000 depending on experience
- Company pension
- 20 days holiday plus bank
